17.4.11 Medical aspect of drug problems
1. Drugs are DANGEROUS for health (not only for health but in the first place).
1-1. Each the fourth young man in Europe dies of drunkenness [YTPO.RU, 19.02.2001, âò]
1-2. Even TOBACCO, danger from which isn't most evident, isn't related to moral degradation, is rather postponed (delitescence), even tobacco damages more than notable.
TOBACCO and CANCER
There is merely couple (even those are enough!) of data from WHO's statistics.
– A half ( ! ) of those who smoke, are taken ill with cancer, at that the diseased lose average about 20 ( ! ) years of their lives.
– There are 35 (thirty five ! ) times greater those who smoke than who don't smoke among dying from cancer of lung.
The death from lung cancer is not a bounty of fate; it may be more dreadful than Osventsim. Large sections of the public doesn't know it through the fault of leader's of the state, of the Health Protection Ministry (HPM).
2. Using of drug by a patient (smoking for instance) embarrasses his
medical treatment. To treat him is as hard as to sober up a man who continues to drink.
3. Mechanisms of psyche dependence are NOT known to medicine.
4. That is why medical narcology is helpless.
4.1. The base document of HPM, regulating a narcologist work (the Order No 140 of 28.04.1998), doesn't anticipate even probability to have a patient recovered. The document doesn't even contain this term. The most to that HPM orientates a physician and a patient is remission, i.e. a long (more or less long) period of abstention from a drug against a background of drug dependence conservation.
4.2. From the information of narcologists themselves, efficacy of their work doesn't exceed 5%
4.3. At the same time HPM ignores effective methods, proposed to it.
