4.4.2. Time is METAphysical
Time is a background of processes just as space is a background of objects; time is their attribute, but NOT their element.
Even in thought it is impossible to tear off (to release) movement (as well as any process) from its duration.
Only in thought it is possible to tear off duration (time !) of a process from its essence, from those objects, changes of which are just this process. But this (the torn) time would be already NOT time itself but a thought about time.
Thus, the problems whether time is discrete, is reversible are actually problems of whether are considered processes discrete or continual, are they reversible or not.
Also and the problem of whether time is multidimensional is actually a problem of whether one process can be interrupted at continuation of another - like a freeze-frame: the image of an object on the screen stops suddenly, and then, the same suddenly, it continues its movement (it is model of one process) though the film creating this image, continues to move without interruption (it is the same model of the other process).
Primarily a person (a child, in his ontogenesis) recognizes the space: to reach, to touch, to seize. This experience is generalized in overviews (and then also in notions): closer÷further, longer÷shorter..
Then speed is being accustomed: what is earlier÷later, faster÷slower.
And only after that, mastering of the category of time occures, of a longitude – as correlation/ratio length/speed. Objective measurement of time is actually the measurement of quantitative characteristics of (physical) processes (for example, of the Earth turn angles around its axis and/or around the Sun). And concepts of duration÷brevity have not arisen themselves (at least in Russian), but are taken from earlier mastered overviews about space. è
